How is National Health Insurance differant than MediCaid?
Medicaid is based on the same view and it is failing. It seems we are building one failure after another.
Answers:
It's roughly Medicaid for EVERYONE. Depending on who you talk to, it may or may not include coverage for 22,000,000 illegals here in the USA.
What most individuals don't REALIZE about National Health Care, is how it's implemented within the countries that use it: There are long lines (read waiting times) for free services; Services are heavily rationed (no joint replacement surgeries for the elderly! or chemo any!); and people who CAN afford private coverage, buy it - and private doctors - leading to two deeply different classes of service - everything you want, on a timely basis for the very, thoroughly rich, and pretty lousy service with waits up to three years, for everyone else.
But culture don't bother trying to figure out how it works. They assume that they'll get matching level of timely care, rotten of government coverage as they do now - next to none of the cost.
It's mindbogglingly ignorant.
Exactly. It's great that it works in countries that are completely unlike ours...especially contained by ones that have 2 X the per captia income to GDP as well.
If you grain as though the gov't can't do anything right, why would one want them to take on more responsibility?
