Christians, if you reason the world ends surrounded by 2012, should you end your children's form insurance?

I'm not trying to challenge anyone's faith. But I don't cogitate we should stop caring for the physical welfare of ourselves, our neighbors, our society or the world itself -- the global ecosystem -- while we await the Second Coming. How something like you?

wanna hear something crazy.

in indiana (where i'm from) if your child dies of an incident that would have be covered by health insurance, the parents cannot be held responsible for not taking the child to the doctor if they can prove they attempted to heal the child using practices from their religion.

contained by other words, if a christian's child dies from something simple like the flu, if the parents prayed for the kid it's legally God's mistake.

so apparently, they should cancel the child's insurance.
Sorry, my friend, but i.e. NOT a Christian belief.
The Mayan calendar have nothing to do with christianity.Mayans never met a christian. The bible say nothing about the run out being 2012.

Mark 13:32 (King James Version)

32But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are contained by heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Jesus is coming back.

With 2012 in haste approaching, there has be seemingly increased interest in certain ancient Mayan writings and calendar predictions.

Specifically, December 21, 2012 is when the Maya’s “Long Count” calendar results the end of a 5,126-year era.

Here is some information about it:

The date December 21st, 2012 A.D. (13.0.0.0.0 surrounded by the Long Count), represents an extremely close conjunction of the Winter Solstice Sun with the crossing point of the Galactic Equator (Equator of the Milky Way) and the Ecliptic (path of the Sun), what that ancient Maya recognized as the Sacred Tree. This is an event that have been coming to resonance very slowly over thousands and thousands of years. It will come to resolution at exactly 11:11 am GMT (All About 2012. http://www.greatdreams.com/2012.htm view 01/13/08).

Maya is a Mesoamerican civilization, noted for the only known fully developed written terms of the pre-Columbian Americas, as well as its art, architecture, and mathematical and astronomical systems. Initially established during the Preclassic spell (c. 2000 BC to 250 AD), many Mayan cities reached their unbeatable state development during the Classic period (c. 250 AD to 900 AD), and continued throughout the Postclassic time until the arrival of the Spanish. At its peak, it was one of the most densely populated and culturally dynamic societies contained by the world. Source(s): http://www.cogwriter.com/end-mayan-calen…

The 2012 prediction did not come from Christians; it is the end of the Mayan long count calendar, that's all.

It go against Christian scripture to set any date at all for Christ's return.

add--I do see the point you are making however; we should never stop caring just about our planet and our neighbors. When Martin Luther was asked what he would do if he knew the world would wrap up the next day he is said to enjoy answered, "Plant a tree."
If a christian thinks the world will cease in 2012, well I guess theyre an apostate. Jesus Peace be upon him be quoted as saying:"no man knoweth the hour, nor the angels in glory, nor the son. no one knows but God"
Isn't this the date you reptiles go public

gag

At last I found an honest one So after that date there will be no Q for the bathroom Oh goody goody
The world ending in 2012 have nothing to do with christianity. In certainty any questions related to it should be asked contained by astrology not here.
can't we just rescind christianity?
Your ignorance shines...

Christians don't know the date of Christ's return, nor should they believe the world will termination.

Daniel 7:14
Look how several times the Jehovah Witnesses set dates and said the end of the world be coming or Armageddon - and were wrong.

But we in street light of what's happening we should always be in position for the coming of Christ.
Christians do not know when the world's end will come. Remember that Jesus said that lone the Fathers knows when. The 2012 date comes from the Mayan calendar, not from the Bible.
You win one internet sir. That is a gloriously, intelligent and hilarious question. Source(s): Jesus loves EVERYONE. Why can't you?
Fellow atheists. Be righteous. Be intelligent. Be proud.
i dont ponder that and im ready at any given moment and checking for smoke at the top of the hill day by day ... but i have no escape plans .. maybe a get-together or somthing ...
You are probably addressing the wrong crowd. Christians believe the Bible so would not be supportive at adjectives of the idea of the world ending within 2012. If our neighbor is hungry we feed them. But he global ecosystem is not a illustrious priority either since God is ultimately going to destroy the world and adjectives that is in it, and as Christians we are not waiting for the second coming we are waiting for the rapture.;
No one knows when he will return.
who said christians think that? it is based on the mayan system and as far as i know they be not christian.
I'm guessing that nothing will happen on 2012. But hey , wtf do i know?
Second coming already came: John 1:17; is come: 1John 4.

1st coming: law and tale, given by Moses
2nd coming: grace and truth, came by JC

He taketh away the first to establish the second: Heb 10:9 Source(s): http://www.godshew.org/GodShew3.htm
what are you talking about who said the world be ending then...
Ummm... I have yet to group a single Christian who believes that 2012 thing. Perhaps you should address your question to the ancient Mayans- no, dawdle, they already cancelled all their policies.
my daughter is 29 dear....I DO NOT believe that prediction any....
