Health insurance for Aussie moving to Canada?
I am moving to Canada on a working holiday visa in the next few months. Can anyone notify me how health insurance works there?
I enjoy just spent the past few years within England and Italy, which Australia both have reciprocal health agreements near. When I landed in hospital surrounded by either country (accident prone one here) it was free as be doctor visits.
Does Australia have a similar agreement beside Canada or am I going to have to fork out for travel insurance?

You will need travel insurance as BC medical will only cover you after you live here for six months.I do not believe we enjoy such an arrangement between Canada and Australia although we are both members of the Commonwealth.I do recommend you get travel insurance because in need it and something happens to you it could cost you much more than if you had coverage.
