If you do not have health insurance through work, you're usually screwed. It's a 2 year waiting catalogue in my state (PA) to get it through the state. I would do deeply to expeditite the process, and I'm a healthy 23 year old.
Those are federal tax credits while you bring back insurance.
I see the multimillionaires are still getting their tax-cuts at the expense of the poor.
Bush, Bush and Reagan all ran MASSIVE deficit. Bush doubled the National debt by a tune of $12 TRILLION while putting us into a recession while his rich buddies got tax cuts and they refuse yo investigate Madoff! None ever got close to a balanced budget resembling Clinton did, who left Bush a surplus!
One thing we don't involve is another claim by the Republicans to be fiscally conservative. They are only fiscally conservative when it comes to the poor! Certainly not when it comes to BILKING the poor or using taxpayers as their own private bank when they are incompetent. You do remember, besides the current fiasco, the $2.3 TRILLION stolen from taxpayers during the Republican Savings and Loan Crises. Seems they adjectives get rich while we get poorer by paying the tab!

The guy who answered two answers below me is wrong. They don't just tax the rich for the subsequent three years then start giving benefits. ALL the taxes would begin the time Obama signed the bill and NOT ONE benefit would be given out for three years.

Don't forget roughly speaking you insurance premiums. Taxes go up because of the plan, and your insurance premiums go up. If it seem to good to be true, it probably is.
hey its actually 5 years........they "start" at 3 later full at 5......so 5k a year x 5 years = 25,000 per person just to earnings for insurance to get started...seems really elevated to me....
o and btw if u look at what they are suggesting....every 1 has to have a giant coverage policy........or u pay 1k in taxes purely to not have insurance
This is correct. It is a bad bill. They should a moment ago extend Medicare to all, which took exactly one month to implement for seniors when it started. ∠°)

The taxes are on the HIGH VALUE insurance plans....like those that are carried by those evil rich liberals in hollywood...NOT the form that cover the average family.
Also....the "cuts" in medicare, are the ones that are unsophisticatedly subsidizing the profit margins of other insurance carriers ! It's the same GIVEAWAY, that Republicans hold complained about for YEARS ! (and rightly so.)

Here's a FACT.... not a single American will have to start paying for the new plan out of their paychecks, until slow in 2015 !... a full 2 years after the benefits start to kick within !
2 years is plenty of time to adjust to the change, or put money aside to go near a private plan.
