How have your experience be next to Blue Cross Blue Sheild Individual Health Insurance?
My current employer does not offer Health Insurance so I'm looking at different companies
Answers:
Blue Cross is a different company near different products, rates, services, etc.. in most every state. In some states they have a right reputation and others they aren't the most sought after coverage.
Find a broker to help you find coverage. They're free to use.
First, determine what type and height of coverage you need, ie. Are you more concerned with Dr.'s organization visits, yearly physicals, etc.? Or, are you more concerned next to in-hospital/major surgery type's of issues ? Different companies offer different benefits. Some will cover things such as mental illness, rehab, motherliness, well-baby care, etc.. Others don't even offer them. Is it individual good in the state that you purchased it surrounded by ? Will it pay if you're hurt/sick on vacation contained by another country ?
Make a list of what is important to you Before you buy. Do not deviate from that detail if at all possible. You may have to present up some things in order to obtain others. Do your research and get the best policy you can comfortably afford.
To find out what Is/Is Not covered in a vigour insurance policy, go to, and read, the limitations and exclusions section of the brochure of any company you may be considering buying from. If the brochure does not schedule them, ask the broker/sales person for a sample policy earlier committing.
Also know that " most " health insurance policies pay what is prearranged as U.C.R., which stands for Usual, Customary, and Reasonable. It refers to the cost of medical treatments in any geographic area.
Guess who determines what is " Reasonable " when it comes to a claim ?
I have BCBS individual coverage. Like any vigour insurance contract you need to understand what is and is not covered. Once you have a handle on that you can balance the two sides of the equation, Cost vs. Policy Benefits.
The BCBS policy does not include the "bells and whistles" which makes it more affordable. Source(s): 35 years insurance industry experience
Both answers above are correct. I must add, however, that adjectives individual policies are horrible compared to group policies offered by large employers. Don't be shocked to find out that several things will not be covered under an individual policy.
