Yes he can! If you hold a good lawyer, you can own him a file a motion in court to prevent him from doing so until your company is of a mind to pick up your medical coverage.

By the way, your ex is a true son of a #$&^% for threatening you with this. That little boys is his flesh and blood too isn't he?
It depends on what company you both work for. You usually have the right to change your insurance option whenever you want. Likewise, he can remove you from his health coverage.
The only article that may be sticky in this is whether or not your son is insured. As the father, you could argue that your ex, when he becomes your ex, is responsible for your son's insurance, but he have no legal responsibility to pay for yours. That would hold to be addressed in divorce court.
since he's the one paying for it it's his insurance.

you should have thought about this beforehand now.
Unless the divorce order says he can't, he can. In ANY state, being dropped form HIS policy is a 'qualified rework in family status' that make you eligible to pick up insurance though your company. Find a copy of your benefits hand book and shove that page under someone's proboscis.
Can he? Yes.

It is your company's insurance I would be irritated with as okay, what justification do they have for requiring you to be divorced to be insured?
