Answers:
first stir to planned parenthood and get your pregnancy confirmed they will nick a test ask you when your last time is and then give you a piece of weekly that says your confirmed pregnant then nick that with your drivers license your social security number and proof of income and step to the department of health and apply for medicaid by law they can't turn a pregnant women down for medicaid sometimes they try but they will make available it to you. It will work out more smoothly than you think. Source(s): helped a friend near this two weeks ago.
Yep I'm with everyone else, start by going to your health department where on earth they'll give you a test and a form maxim that you had a positive pregnancy test, you'll purloin that along with a few other things like birth card, social security card, income and stuff to a Medicaid office and consequently you can apply. If you get on it then as soon as the toddler is born he/she will automatically be put on it for 1 year which is such a major help! Good luck and congrats.
Just in response to the soul who said private insurance would deny it as a pre-existing condition - that isn't true. Source(s): I work in medical insurance.
I went through the same piece with my first pregnancy as I worked for a real estate company and they did not volunteer insurance. I went to my local job and own flesh and blood services office after I had see my OB to get a pregnancy confirmation and was provided beside medicaid, now because of my Income they would only cover through my pregnancy, but that be all I needed! Once Erika was born it be considered a life event and my husband added both of us to his insurance and all be well.

I know it's overwhelming but I assure you it will all work out.

***Try contacting the hospital surrounded by which you wish to deliver and they may have a prenatal clinic (and they are usually VERY appropriate... and should take state and private ins) and can assist you with your medicaid application as powerfully. Best of luck to you and that baby :)

Oh and P.S. You could get private insurance if you would similar to to. Pregnancy LEGALLY CANNOT BE SEEN AS A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION. Source(s): 2yr Erika and 23wk w/ #2
health-quotes.talk4fun.network - try this one. My sister had no problem with her insurance coverage while individual pregnant.
Are you eligible for medicaid? If you are or are not sure you can go to your local strength department. They'll give you a test, a due date, and back you apply for medicaid. good luck
Apply for medicaid. Source(s): 29 weeks pregnant.
You will need to look into senate aide. No private company will insure you, rather, they will insure you but they won't cover your pregnancy. It will be seen as a pre-existing condition.
apply for tenncare, thats what i did. here in tn, you have to be 20 or below for them to pay for everything, but if you are older than 20, and you can prove you dont engineer enough money to pay for your dr. appts. afterwards they will provide you and your baby health insurance. so step to your local health department, and let them know you entail help. GOOD LUCK.
