Health insurance doesn't cover routine physicals for children?
"My ex took the kids for a sports physical, which was not covered under my insurance. Now she desires me to pick up the cost of the physicals. Has this happened to anyone else? Can she demand it justifiably?"
Answers:
a physical is a physical... how can that not be covered?
A couple of phone calls may know how to save you a legal bill. First, check what type of physicals ARE covered below your medical plan. Routine 'well-care' physicals may be covered, but a physical that was done for 'sports' may NOT have be billed as a routine physical, thus it was denied. If they already had an annual physical and this one be necessary for sports then they may not cover a second physical within a fiscal year. Call their doctors office and ask why the claim was denied, afterwards ask if they can be resubmitted as a routine physical . . . .Couldn't hurt.
It's up to you to know what they WILL pay for and find out how to get it rewarded . . . . or if it is a legit claim that is not covered. Good Luck!
health-quotes.isgreat.org - here is my health insurance plan. As I remember they can provide such a service.
What is surrounded by your parenting plan as to who pays what?
Typically, parents pay medical bills/copays based on their income. So if you trade name twice as much, you should pay 2/3 of the bill.
I've never heard of a sports physical for children.
Was the purpose of it to own the kids certified healthy before participating contained by a sports program? If so, you should probably pay for half, since sports are apposite for kids, and you probably already agreed to the sports.
But I've never heard of an insurance company not covering a physician visit beside a child to ensure they are healthy.
I'm so glad I'm Canadian and don't have to verbs about stuff like this.
