If my employer didn't lift the correct amount for my form insurance, do I own to compensate it put money on?

The company I work for pays 80% of my family health insurance. We purely received notification that our payroll company has not taken the correct deduction from our paychecks for over one year. Because of this error, they will be taking an secondary $30 deduction out every pay time of year for one year to make up the difference. Is this legal?

Turn it around. If your employer found out that they were incorrectly deduct $30 more than was necessary to salary for your health insurance would you expect them to just maintain the additional money that was collected?

Many companies would write it past its sell-by date, since it went on so long and was the company's error. However, if they want they are competent to back collect like this.
When relations were getting the $30 "bonus" each reimburse period, it doesn't sound close to anyone complained.
