Now that I'm eighteen my vigour insurance won't recompense for my ADHD medication, why is this?
I"m still in high college, & I can't focus without it. But I cant afford it without insurance, its approaching $200 a bottle without it.
I'm freaking out, why are they doing this?

possess as much information as you could maybe is one of the option, however it is quite time consuming, here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info/free-online-health-insurance.htm is the resource i have ever have good experience.
I could be mistaken but if your still in conservatory (high School or College) Medical benefits should consider you a covered dependent of your parents until you are 22 or 23. I may be wrong though, and this also may depend upon the state you are located in. Source(s): Im an insurance broker.
Just to clarify what you're saying...you still are enrol in your actual health insurance policy. However, they won't cover that specific medication for you. Is that correct?
If that's the luggage, its possible that they have age restrictions on certain services and medication.
You should call your insurance company to confirm if that's the case. If so, you could try to appeal...maybe at least to have them cover it until you're done beside high school.
However, if its a strict age restriction on your policy that that medication is merely covered up to age 18, be forewarned that you may not be able to do anything about it.
(If the age restriction point isn't the problem with your insurance, you need to find out exactly why its not man covered. Then if its something that could be appealed, you need to do so. But be aware that specific benefit exclusions written into your policy are generally not competent to be overturned on appeal.) try to see if you can get medicaid!
