Independent Contractors and Healthcare/Health Insurance?
Can an employer who hires on Independent Contractors offer those IC's Health Insurance benefits?
Is there a special type of condition insurance set up for IC's that an employer can offer?
Anyone's expert advise would be terrific. Thank you! :)

no
unfortunately; i am also an independent contractor; the one and only health insurance you can get is the agency that hired you if any; my agency have health insurance which is basically nil;
that is the reason oodles employers hire IC since they are off hook for any medical; also, no holiday payment, vacation etc. you are an employee of the agency, not the employer who uses you as an IC.
i cant take full time work, since age 56, 10 years experience, but they want college graduates age 22; i have have employers request me numerous times, but will not hire me as a permanent member of staff;
when my brother died 4 years ago; one manager reminded me they dont pay funeral time to hold care of my only brother; (i know that and be insulted since i did not expect, only wanted i am sorry for your loss)
ask the agency where on earth you work if they have any health insurance benefits? if approaching me, years ago when the economy great, had it, but have to delete to keep going.
good luck
Nope. Group coverage can singular be offered to employees, not IC's. Sorry.
