Trying to conceive and want to know just about form insurance?

We are going to be trying to conceive soon, and I wanted to know what options I hold available to me. I don't have health insurance right presently, and know that a pregnancy will be expensive..so what are my options?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well you can try for things like Cobra where you can find plans for as low as $85/month. Expensive? VERY our bill for routine prenatal, and postnatal perfectionism and delivery, Basic laboratory determinations, and sonograms was $4949 plus the extra $3000 that the hospital charges. And if you need an epidural or decide to receive one, that's an additional $500. I'm covered through work and have Aetna, so I insist on you to find a cheap alternative. I only think Cobra basis it's what my neighbor uses. Just thought I'd give you the break down of prices. I live in the Tampa nouns in FL. Source(s): Self, expecting 1st child
I don't presume Medicaid accepts everyone b/c you have to grant all types of financial information to see if you qualify. I could be wrong, though. But I would check into it at your local DHHR before you bring pregnant b/c if you get pregnant and they don't cover you, then you're stuck beside a bunch of medical bills. Make sure you get insurance before you go and get pregnant b/c it's usually considered a pre-existing condition and you won't be covered. And some insurance companies have waiting periods beforehand you can become pregnant and still be covered. Do not get pregnant without insurance - what if your child ends up in the NICU or something? Outrageous bills. Do your research first is all I'm clich¨¦. Good luck.
I don't hold health insurance either and my husband and I are still trying to conceive. I work for a small company and my boss can't proposal me insurance. I've looked for about 2 years for affordable coverage and the maternity coverage I did find be terrible. Even with the cheapest company I found I figure we would still end up paying a minimum of $8,000 out of pocket WITH insurance. AND that's only if we conceived the first month we started trying. It's also a requirement that we clear for maternity coverage three months before conceiving, which I regard is ridiculous. So for every month we don't get pregnant we'd be throwing money down the toilet.

We finally decided be just going to use planned parenthood for adjectives our prenatal care and pay for the conferral out of pocket. They took care of me with my birth control prescription when I lost my insurance after I graduate college. They do everything except the actual delivery and even then they work beside hospitals to get us a good deal.

medicaid!! as far as i know they cannot turn down a woman who is pregnant and does not have strength insurance. dont quote me but i think that is a rule near medicaid and they pay for everything. doesnt cost you a dime. the only point about it is that not every doctor will take medicaid and when choosing a pediatrician solitary a handful will usually accept it.
