Free/Cheap strength insurance for low income within LONG ISLAND, NY?

I am 19 years old and i go to arts school part time, so i am not able to seize my moms insurance, and i also work but dont get insurance there any. I come from a low income family, so i was wondering if in attendance are any companies that you could qualify for and be able to get an insurance for cheap or free.

i be talking to one of my friends who said he went to the hospital and registered for insurance and qualified and get it for free with metroplus, but he lives in bk and that insurance is for empire who only live in bk, quens, manhatten...so if at hand is something for those areas there has to be something for long islanders, right?

We also enjoy a hospital in my area that do a finical screening and form insurance is free. Call your downtown Hospital I'm sure they have the financial screening process. Also you could call social services to see if you qualify for services.
