If you hold insurance on your phone can you draw from a free one if yours is messed up ?

ok heres the deal, i have a Sidekick LX
and the orb ( trackball ) hasn't been working
for a few months..but i have insuarance on it
and i be wondering if i call customer care
and relate them will they send me a FREE one ?

You shouldn't have to call upon on your insurance to replace a malfunctioning phone. Insurance is designed for lost or damaged phones and typically a $50 deductible is required in charge to get it replaced. If your phone is defective, the service provider should replace it.
I did that with one of mine and the take into custody was I had to rate fifty dollars plus shipping and handling. I don't know if that's how yours is but it can't really hurt to call and ask.
