How can i catch a free phone or a $50 one through insurance?

i have verizon with a cut-throat v9.. it has water prejudice (just happend today) i dont have insurence now.. can i bring it and then make a clame?

My sister-in-law tried to do that, but they wouldn't permit her. She was told that she had to purchase the insurance in 30 days of purchasing her phone. Her phone was run over. :(

You can always phone call and try. It wouldn't hurt to ask, would it? :)
