Free strength insurance surrounded by Los Angeles County. Does anyone enjoy any experience?

I was wondering if anyone has or have or know anyone who has had free form insurance from the state. I live in the Los Angeles area and currently am out of work, so I am looking at applying for free healthcare at the office in El Monte. I know they own a "general hospital" that will admit emergency and does not charge, but from what I've heard, it's kind of a deeply crowded and awful experience. Does anyone have any experience regarding this? Thank you.
