Free insurance training?
I see that Amerprise offers select free insurance training for life and securities. Does anyone know of a company that provides "free" training (to acquire licensed) for property and hazard insurance?

You may have to become a hostage agent.
In other words, if they provide a valuable service for you (the training), then you must work for them and them alone (hence the possession, 'captive agent').
If you must have freedom in your outcome making, then you may want to pay for the training youself. Not inexpensive, but possible.
Before you sign a contract, find out if you will be a hostage agent. If so, for how long? If you are 'dismissed' by the company, will you be able to go to a competing underwriter? If not, is the prohibition for one year, two, three, or more years?
Those of us who hire inhabitants want them to work with us. We do not appreciate it if a person is trained and afterwards moves to a competitior because the other person offers high commissions. (The lower comissions some offer trainees is because we need to recuperate most of the cost of the training.)
Incidentally, that recovery period can be a long time. Look in the past you leap.
I only take society who pay their own way. There is other a person who will not risk two hundred dollars on himself. Why would I want to invest two hundred dollars in someone who will not invest contained by himself?
Guys like me would rather contribute the person a nicer commission schedule up front and hire family who believe in themselves.
Regardless, let me know how you do. I would similar to to know about that company anyway. It is a good company offering honourable products. But I do not know about their policy on new agents.
