Do any regular hospitals hand over out 3d ultrasounds for free or next to insurance coverage?
Answers: Unless your dr deems in medically essential, 3d ultrasounds are not covered under insurance and hospitals don't generally do them. in that is usually a business in town that performs the u/s. I have mine done and I loved it. It cost me $150 for the 3d u/s and a 30 min DVD of my little one
Nope..I tried... I go to a place in Boston to do it and they charged me $115.00 but it was SO worth it! If you do opt to pay for it and get it done, dally til youre 30-31 weeks...I did mine at 24 weeks because I couldn't wait and the baby didn't hold baby didnt have scarcely any fat on her yet and she didnt look as human approaching as she does in the ones I had done at 31 weeks. Good luck!
my doctor gave me a 3d without me even asking it be so neat
YES, they do!!
We go for our 20 week ultrasound yesterday. We didn't even ask for a 3D one, but the doctor went ahead and did it. It was really well turned-out! We have just regular insurance, nought special.
nothing is for free; sure that they may have to be a intention to document for insurance coverage
We got a video tape of an ultrasound when I be pregnant with our 1st child. While with no. 2 the tech. said that they do not grant out videos anymore. Reason being, if the child is born beside some sort of birth defect that was not foreseen, a video of the ultrasound could be used within a lawsuit against the MD. Don't know about other doctors, but that's the way it is beside ours.
Well I guess it all depends on where on earth you live, but in my area of Ontario (where ultra sounds are covered) you enjoy to go to an outside agency for a 3D ultra sound. None of the hospitals surrounded by area offer them. And you own to pay for them. A 3D is an elective form of ultra sound and they are not cheap. They are also not to be used to see if nearby is anything wrong with the baby, so you enjoy to look at it as is it worth the cost to you.
Insurance will cover it at a hospitpal but only if there are probelms see with the baby during the commonplace ultrasound. My sister got one done with my niece and it be covered by insurance but they found a malformed section of the heart on the orginal ultrasound and needed to get a better look. Also, the one they do at the hostipal doesn't look anything close to the one they show on tv and magazines. To get a obedient one done, you need to pay.
