Answers:
Why isn't electricity free?
Why isn't my home free?
And what in the order of clothes - shouldn't they be free?
Why isn't my car and the gasoline that powers it free?
Is time really money? Then it should be free too.

And lottery tickets should be free.
Why isn't food and potable water free?

And tacos - I really like those. They are now free.

No, I suppose it's because YOU don't want to be in motion through medical school, accumulate six data of education debt, so that you can work for free, AND buy the medical supplies and pay your organization staff out of pocket!!
If you want free insurance - put your money where your mouth is - and PAY THE COST FOR SOMEONE ELSE, so that YOU are giving free medical insurance to someone.
**I disagree with David - 10% payroll toll increase will just about cover the CURRENT Medicare deficiet. You're probably looking at an more 50% to 70% (of your INCOME, not of your payroll tax) to cover "universal health care" costs - which should cost over $7,000,000,000,000 the first ten years. Yep, that's TRILLION dollars.
I have medicare & medicaid! it's free for me because i'm on SSDI!
Seriously? No country have free insurance. In the US insurance is cheaper than the additional taxes people recompense overseas. If people In the European countries didn't work then their government would get the taxes to provide the coverage.
There is a health insurance plan as low as 40$ a month, but the coverage is limited. Better than zilch.
not sure i understand the interview.
payroll taxes will have to increase about 10% to cover robustness care. FICA is already 7.65% so to add another 10% does not appear free!
Afraid there's no such point as a free lunch...
but yet again let's clear one thing up, any statement that US private healthcare is cheaper than within other countries is bullsh*t and I defy anyone to prove otherwise.
US Healthcare is the MOST expensive in the world. Americans retribution an average of $6,700 per person per year, that's almost twice as much as people surrounded by any other developed country pay.
Yes other countries have tend to hold higher tax rates, but to say-so the extra taxes must be due to healthcare is puerile and idiotic.
You'd think consequently that the US system should be (if not twice as good) then at least the best. Afraid not, according to the World Health Organisation the US robustness system manages only 37th place contained by the world and yet people verbs to say it should stay as it is.
Who are these people ?
Insurance agents as expected.....the ones with the most to lose out of any reform. Source(s): http://www.oecd.org/dataoecd/42/9/409024…
