Is motor insurance for a second driver over 25 years of age free surrounded by Canada?

My girlfriend will be getting a car soon, and will be buying an insurance policy. I am 25 years old and own been driving for around 8 years. Do I need to purchase a second insurance policy to know how to drive that same car?

if your not living together than you can just drive the vehicle but if u are than you need to be put on her insurance plan
