Free strength insurance in the neighbourhood Brandon, FL?

Is there any way to apply or receive FREE condition insurance in or near Brandon, Florida. I am a college student here and don't want to take-home pay for health insurance b/c its expensive. I used to live in New York and know that nearby there are many companies that impart free health insurance for low income people. Any comfort?
Answers:
I've never hear of 'free health insurance', other than through Medicaid. Some cities hold programs at low or no cost covering CHILDREN, but none that I know of for adults.
I lived contained by Brandon for 20 years. There's no free insurance if you're 18+. Taxes in Florida are a lot smaller number than in NY so you won't get as various freebies from the state.

If you're a student at USF, go here http://shsweb.shs.usf.edu/ins/Insurance.… to find out about their student insurance. It will cost you roughly $100 a month.

If you're at HCC, you'll need to check with the guidance counselors to see if they hold something available. I don't think they do.

Your only other likelihood is to get a job that offer benefits and work while you get your degree.
Most colleges extend low-cost student group insurance. Have you checked there?

That would be, Medicaid. Welfare insurance. You'll have to apply for it though the medicaid office of your state of residence. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
