Free state insurance?
I live in Oklahoma and we have a free state issued insurance plan call SoonerCare. It's for women who are pregnant who have low income. And for children in low income family ages 0-18 yrs of age. My question is, do other states have an insurance plan resembling this.?
It's call welfare, it may have a different name but it's still welfare. Every time you see someone working or paying tax's you should say aloud thank you as you are taking money out of their pay check every payday.
Yes. In CA and in masses states there is a program called Healthy Families. Source(s): http://healthyfamilies.com/

Unfortunately Healthy Families was cut within the recent budget crisis in California. Very little of the program remains
Yes they do but the insurance goes by a different mark such as chips in West Virginia.Children's Health Insurance policy.
"> Yes, it's called Medicaid. Welfare health insurance, for children, pregnant women, and hugely low income people.
Each state runs it's own program, and can call it by any first name it wants (Medi-Cal for California, Peach Care for Georgia, etc), and determines it's own eligibility and coverages.
