But, the US government manage to put a man on the moon, launch a network of satellites that give us GPS surrounded by every car and satellite radio in the hand of whoever wants it.
As much as people whine nearly the post office, I put a stamp on a letter and toss it within the mailbox and it gets anywhere in the country contained by about 3 or 4 days. If I want to mail a box, I get a flat rate box, buy the stamp on the internet and the mailman picks it up from my porch the next hours of daylight. That is darn good service. Some years they lose money, but they have also profited within some years. Overall, it is the best and least expensive postal system in the world.
The free marketplace failed at health protection. Tort reform is already implemented within many states and it has done zilch.
I do hope you plan to turn down medicare and expect your parents to do the same.
The Military. Perhaps if we don't sink so much into individual THE WORLD POWER because we wanna show the world how awesome we are, we would have more to spend on the people of our own country, and fix some of the problems here.
Medicare IS successful, it just doesn't capture enough money from premiums and taxes. You people freshly can't get that through your heads. The premium should be $2000 a month to be sustainable, and the levy should be doubled. Then it would be solvent. Do you really see any legislator doing that?
The post office is not bankrupt. It must deliver "the later mile" and that incurs a LOT of cost and is not as efficient as others as a result. They aren't moving as fast to make over, but neither did all the FedEx competitors who went out of business.
Social security? Bankrupt.
Medicare? Bankrupt by 2017
Post office? Bankrupt
