Uh oh--"my body, and my choice"--sounds like you're supporting women's reproductive rights. Right?
As for a national health insurance program, why would you want the U.S. to be the solitary industrialized country who doesn't provide this? Of course it's not free; we would pay for it through our taxes. But when you add up your strength insurance premium, your copyaments, and prescription payments and so forth, the increase in taxes would be much less.
And your right to choose is not taken away. You still capture to choose your doctor and the type of plan you want under most of the proposals on the table. You just aren't charged an arm and a leg for it, and you aren't disappearing yourself open to bankruptcy due to uncovered medical expenses. Therefore, your enthusiasm would be less stressful.
It wouldn't be for free. If you are a middle class american you would pay envelope about $500 more per month in taxes to obtain your $400's worth of health care. If you are upper class consequently you get to pay 10 times that to insure the poor and still you will buy private insurance anyways. If you are poor you will go and get the same 'free' health protection you get today. The only difference is that you'll enjoy your dignity because you'll get to produce your shiny new card showing you enjoy healthcare coverage, even though you don't work and spend your welfare check on lottery tickets.
Silly neocon, health care is never free.
However, a single-payer international health care system would be smaller number expensive to administer and you, as a health care consumer, wouldn't hold to deal with an insurance company interfering next to your treatment or denying it altogether. Instead of insurance premiums, it would come out of your taxes and, after you factor in the lower administration costs of not have to deal with hundreds of private insurers and H.M.O.'s, you would probably rate what you pay now or smaller quantity.
you can still choose, but give the rest of us a arbitrary too.
congratulations to you (and me) for paying(me$462) for insurance premium....PLUS a $500 deductible to be paid...so i had a twelve-monthly checkup and had to pay the deductible!..i say aloud FOLLOW the MONEY!! both Demos and Republicans fat cats (wall-street investors) sure want the government involved surrounded by health care...and they, the investors will be the middleman taking their life-size cut and denying you some medical benefit... i believe they are already have the middleman position sewed up....31 companies jumped within the Medicare for seniors to provide so-called services wherein getting their big cut of the government money....some low life gang-banger is surrounded by a wheelchair getting $62,000 year from the government...its for votes....where prince and princess congress own aides to get autos, first class airlines, lobbyist to pay for vacation and high priced restaurants..that ashole Edwards from MASS.. has something approaching 80 staff members to wipe his as for him and this is not counting the emperor type president branch.....they are sucking us (USA) into a third world of rich haves and us have nots.....a revolution or evolution is coming to correct this outrage Source(s): not here ring radio
instead of paying a insurance premium you would pay high taxes. single people in virtuous health will not make out as very well as older people next to families, but eventually they will become old folks with families so it evens out.

At great cost, my friend, at great cost!
I mostly vote democrat but I am remarkably much against universal health keeping. It's not as simple as it sounds! It will run quality health perfectionism into the ground!
so you like the system that rewards the deadbeats.....ok......
The only way is for the system to take it over. Then it will be free to people that don't work. Which is a angelic part of the democratic base.
I hope you never lose the qualifications to pay for your insurance. Many people are not so fortunate. Do you really have an idea that a system where poor people hold to overwhelm emergency rooms with colds and the flu is the best we can do? Everyone deserves decent strength care. Like education, it's an investment we adjectives make in building a better and stronger country. If adjectives the nations of Western Europe can afford to offer robustness care to all their population, the richest nation in the history of the world can surely afford to do the same.
The democrats just want the doctors and nurses to be union gov't human resources. Then unions will steal from it's members to make available to the Dems.
Nothing is 'free'.
I have health insurance. I have a mishap and broke my pelvis. So far it has cost me about $2,500 out of pocket contained by deductibles and co-pays.
Really, trained apes could do better than our health care 'system'.
And, if you hold a PPO or HMO you who are you kidding about 'choice'? You enjoy the choice of having your care denied....that's roughly speaking all.
Single payer system works for just just about all of Western Europe, Japan and Canada. That's one reason they live longer and enjoy a lower infant mortality rate (plus they are smarter and not as fat).
Do you have any idea how much indistinguishable insurance company, that's charging you and countless other patients $400 per month, is charging your doctor? Getting rid of insurance, as the socialist institution that it is, allows two possibilities:
1) we can either nationalize the health industry, at a much much lower cost, as a public service approaching Fire Departments and Police Stations. Or
2) trust that the free market, without the encumbrance of insurance, can adjust the price of healthcare put money on down to levels that are actually affordable.
Either of those are better for America than the current mess. How exactly would a doctor that didn't charge for his services infringe on your unlikely right to choose?
Everything you utter is correct, but the dems figure that if you pay for the diligence of others that will make you feel worthy about yourself, and after all isn't that what liberalism is adjectives about?
