In a free country, shouldn't the individual be allowed to settle on whether or not to purchase robustness insurance?

or simply pay a fee for the service as needed?

My loved ones is not insured. We go to the acute care clinic when we attain sick, and the fee is usually under $100. Last year, we probably rewarded about $500 out of pocket toward medical care. I enjoy friends who pay about $500 per month within health insurance whether they use it or not. Sometimes years go by beside minimal use. It seems like they could put that concerned of money in an account and use it if they necessitate it. What do you think about the thought of personal freedom and the government not micromanaging our lives?
Answers:
All the other industrialized countries have freedoms that contest or surpass America's,
And all of them have national form.

Except the US, because the US is a giant pyramid scheme set up to financially rape the citizens contained inside who barely ever seize a vacation or travel outside it's boundaries.

American's life expectancy average footing #37 in the world. Not too shabby for a second world nation.

It can be cheaper to go minus insurance, but not when you have children,
if something happens you're screwed, or you can basically not pay and get everyone else who's already one financially raped to pay even more.
The problem is that uninsured relatives drive up the cost of insurance for the rest of us.

In fact, some studies suggest that the cost of caring for the unisured, which is factored into the cost of insurance for those who do enjoy it, amounts to up 30% of an individual's total insurance cost.

" In 2005, premium costs for family health insurance coverage provided by private employer will include an extra $922 in premiums due to the cost of care for the uninsured; premiums for individual coverage will cost an extra $341." Source(s): http://www.pnhp.org/news/2005/june/the_u…
I am adjectives for personal freedom and choice. But I'm a conservative...
No.

Steve nailed the reason.

As long as we insist on running our lives near money, we will always pay - contained by one form or another - for those with no healthcare.

We can do it as we are now (and wages entirely too much for bad care, and take refused treatment when a serious illness occurs) or we can spend merely as much as we are now (perhaps less) and insure everyone.

Btw, do you really think your ER visit really only equate to $500/month?
The US is no longer a free country. Whenever the rule controls something or if you take a government handout, you afford up a piece of your freedom.

Leftist ideology has taken over our political system to the point it is no longer acting as a republic.

A government that have been bought outright is why we have the form care crisis that we do today. Corporations are now the politicians constituency not the nation.
You are aware that the purpose of universal healthcare is to give the poor the means to access health care, right? You can pick doesn`t matter what you want for health insurance.
It must be nice..but you don't enjoy cancer or some other incurable disease..many do..and its not from bad drinking or a lack of exercise..be thankful my friend
What happens when you grasp a brain tumor and owe $30,000 in medical bills? Will you still be singing the same song? I doubt it.
what makes you have a sneaking suspicion that liberals want America to be a free country ??

freedom scares liberals, they LOVE to plan your entire life - cradle to grave important planing
Sounds passable to me.

Everything they touch turns to ash......

Everyone HAS coverage now.

I want to speak English to my doc. Is that too much to ask?
what happens if you hold a severe accident with a million + contained by medical bills. icu is 32k a day. insurance is the one thing that we adjectives need, but hope to never use.
Not when it's been over run by socialist who call themselves liberals.
I have insurance but I would categorically support your right not to have it. I'm so sick of our freedoms being chipped away at. This senate is getting as bad is cuba. I love the protest going on in Iran. Those empire have guts! I'd love to hear from some of them about how they contract with a police state because that's where this place is going.
Should we adjectives be required to purchase car insurance?
Applying a laissez-faire approach to health insurance WOULD be alright if:

A) SO many kids did not suffer from withdrawal of good health trouble,
B) If the health industry wasn't driven by greed and pharmaceutical promos (well-same thing),
C) People really KNEW when to go to doctors and when not to,
D) Doctors really KNEW when to stroke and when to kiss their HMO's a**es,
E) We were not in the middle of a PANDEMIC very soon, predominantly due to a combination of a mutated virus and poor health education.

There are other factor, but if the gov't wants to "micromanage" MY life by paying for righteous health care (but agree to them stay OUT of all other aspects, such as my political/ethica/religious beliefs, etc.,) then I right to be heard...how much worse can THEY do than corporate "health care" has done?

In the extremity, anything motivated by profit alone is by nature, corrupt. AND, it has nought to do with the Hippocratic oath that all doctors clutch; "Do no Harm"! Under managed care, they do PLENTY of mar in the name of the bottom strip!
Or whether or not they pay for everyone elses'?
Peace
As far as putting my money to better use? I grain much safer knowing that should something happen to me or my children we will be covered and taken care of. In the long run, it is worth the money!
Yes!
No one is saying that you HAVE to hold health insurance. The idea is to label it available for everyone that WANTS it. And to be honest, it's people like YOU going to the ER for everyday issues that are the problem. It might cost YOU smaller quantity, but it costs the system and everyone else much more.
I have insurance and two injury's in the concluding few years have cost nearly $50,000.00 and I never had any surgery! There is something really wrong beside this picture. There is a real need for a total health care bill and the sooner the better!Had I not be so fortunate I'm not sure I would be with you today. We need things fixed and we involve it now.Look at it this way,we appear to have no problem getting in to foolish war all over the place. How about taking effort of the kids that need to grow up and fight those foolish war.Either that or stop getting in to them in the first place! Oh hell,I dream up that would be a better idea anyway!
Amen! Communist or not communist? Hmmmm
Steve is correct. Almost 50 million Americans are uninsured and millions more under-insured. For many of the insured, collapse is only a health crisis away. As it is, the insurance companies dictate which doctors to see and how they are to ration thoroughness. Some medical facilities own stakes in labs and other physician-relateover the moon-profit systems, where they order unneeded/unwarranted test. This drives premiums up for everyone, and the insurance companies rake in trillions at the expense of patients. Insurance companies can pick and chose whom to insure, leaving critically-ill citizens on their own with no safety web. A transformed health care system will not do away with choices, but provide more for those who are in dire need.
