Honey I think most dentist have a fee plan. Years ago when we didn't have insurance the county health department have a dental office and based it on what you earn.
I agree with Jess (a previous answerer), however, when I know I was going to need a huge amount of work done on my teeth, I open insurance with HSA. If you just put HSA medical insurance into your prod engine, you'll be able to have a look at the info (I don't dispense links on here). They have been surely brilliant to me and pay the money back in a few days after I've submitted the bill. I can't recommend them highly enough. I don't know where on earth you are but my guess is that if you live out of UK there will be other insurance companies willing to provide insurance. It's a shield of shopping around, if you have the time!

The alternative, if things are really urgent, is to ask your dentist if you can pay what you can when you can - they will charge interest and roughly most dentists prefer full payment immediately. However, if your circumstances are dire, they might be type to you. You can only ask.

Don't suppose I've been much oblige.

All the best and hope it works out for you.
I was once within your situation many years ago. I maxed out my insurance and still needed some work done and could not wait another 6 months till later. That's when I found this wonderful plan. I would encourage you to visit this great site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago and they own saved me thousands of dollars on all services when my insurance did not.. From extractions of my desirability teeth, xrays, exams, fillings and even my braces. They even had my highly affordable plan active in 2 hours and be able to use them the very same time. Good luck and hope this helps.
Most dental offices offer pay plans with a very low minimum stipend. I don't know about the interest but when you are desperate it's not a bad remedy. Good luck
