I don't take to mean the Explanation of Benefits from my Dental insurance...?
I was under the indentation that the "Patient's Responsibility" amount would be approximately what I 'd be charged from the doctor. I paid the doctor prior to receiving the statement from the insurance, and it be much more than this amount. Why doesn't the amount I paid the doctor match up next to the amounts on the explanation of benefits?
Answers:
Your doctor's office has potential over-estimated your copayment. You should call and check with your doctor's department, if they have received the payment from your insurance you probably hold a credit on your account.
