What is the recommended age in which I should get dental insurance on a child?

I have two toddlers and they both have dental insurance lower than me.
At about the age you feel they'll be starting sports which could be rough (e.g hockey, rugby, gymnastics).
At about age 8 they may start these sports at school but your child's university should inform you when they recommend getting dental protection for your child ;]
I'm a dental hygienist. I really rarely see anyone ages 2 and under. I hold, however, seen several 3 year olds and older. I'd right to be heard 3 is a good age to start. Most dental insurance plans will cover 2 exams and 2 cleanings per year. They will also cover 2 fluoride treatments a year, which will help prevent cavity from forming. Many insurance programs also cover sealants (to protect the teeth from forming cavities). I hope that helps!
