Dental insurance - if I find some to purchase, does it cover pre-existing conditions?

I have a broken crown, heard it'd be just about $1000 to repair.

Any kind of dental insurance would probably help next to the cost, but not if it doesn't cover pre-existing.

Yet if it covers pre-existing, seems like they'd lose money.

Any feedback on this?

Be sure to read adjectives the fine print before you sign up. They are required to present all the expressions. Sometimes they have a shiny brochure, but ask for the complete policy.
I would strongly encourage you to call on this site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com I signed up online over 5 years ago now and they have save me thousands of dollars over the years from my root canals, xray, fillings, cleanings...etc. All services are included contained by this very affordable plan. Even my braces were covered, cosmetic surgery and dentures are also included. They even have my very affordable benefits active surrounded by 2 hours and was able to use it the outstandingly same day.
