What does the word Indemnity meen when chitchat more or less dental insurance?

i just signed up with dental insurance and they use the word indemnity when chitchat about which dentists i can see, but it says i can see whoever i want, but im still confused, does this meen the dentist have to except it no matter who i go to?, can someone please clear this up for me? thankyou:)
