Dental insurance: Yearly maximum and lifetime maximum sound out

I decided to get braces nearer in the year. The orthodontist said that I must have periodontal work back the braces were put on. I had the periodontal work done and I remunerated half, while the other half be paid by my dental insurance. I was notify last month that my "yearly maximum" of dental insurance coverage have been reached. I also am allowed a "once lifetime" orthodontic benefit of $1500 by my insurance. I am wondering if I will hold to wait until January 1st to receive my orthodontic benefit, or will I be allowed to use that benefit even though I have used the max on periodontal work already? I'm purely curious if anyone knows this answer (my insurance company is not open at the moment, and I am lately wondering). Cannot find this info on their website. It's delta dental.
"> Orthodontic insurance is usually is separate rider from your dental. It sounds like you have a $1,500.00 lifetime max. for ortho. Which technique that's all you get once you start your ortho. You should be capable of start at anytime. Lifetime max. means you can only use it once. If you don't wear your retainers, and obligation to be retreated with braces later they will NOT rate again. Another IMPORTANT thing to check out the age they will pay up too. You may enjoy orthodontic coverage, but a lot of them don't cover past the age of 19. Whether your the policy holder or a family connections member over the age of 19 on the policy. If you do have coverage the insurance company will not wages the whole $1,500.00 up front. That's something else to take into consideration.

Hope this help you out.
