Question nearly strength and dental insurance?
i need major oral surgery.will my medical insurance cover the surgery or should i folder under my dental or file for both...

It depends on what the surgery is. Call the condition insurance company and call the dental company. If you have the codes from the procedure that will aid.
Just because it's your mouth doesn't necessarily mean that it's dental insurance.

Your dental insurance should cover the procedure. Most health insurance companies are going to decline this claim due to the certainty that you're dealing with "teeth". If your oral surgery is dealing SOLELY with your mouth bone, you may want to speak with your health insurance as to whether or not they will process the claim, but contained by most cases they will not want to toucn anything that hast to do with the mouth, and will defer it to your dental plan.

They'll pay for check ups, cleanings, and x-rays; but that's it. If you opted for the sophisticated level of coverage (that covers fillings, extractions, etc), you will still inevitability to check your coverage limits because there is probably a dollar closing date per year that they will pay.
A fair restrictive though, your dentist/oral surgeon's office should file the insurance claims and do that leg work for you, if they won't afterwards beware. If the office staff is lazy and unwilling to do their livelihood, that attitude might be shared by those performing your surgery. Good luck and take care.
