i have had a few myself.i consistency bad for you, knowing how painful they are.enjoy it pulled.but the infection will have to be cured before they can verbs it.the meds will cure the infection, but the abscess will come back if you don't have it pulled.Good luck.
Im contained by the same boat as you. I had an abcessed/infected tooth something like 2 weeks ago. I had no insurance so I went to ER and they prescribed antibiotics and affliction killers. Take all your pills, and use the pain killers fittingly, the pain will eventually go away inside a few days as the infection is being killed.
I would ring the hospital you went to and ask if there are any dentists around for low income family. I asked and they gave me a list of some surrounded by my area.
Even if you went to the dentist, they would probably woudlnt do anything until the infection is completely gone.
you can step to a dental school in your area( any college next to a dental program should have this) and they can take consideration of you for a really affordable price. Unless your homeless and have no money at all. You can also apply for medicare. should be necessarily free complements of tax payers like myself.
if you need a root strait it will cost close to $2000. if you get it pulled it won't cost nearly as much but it's best to save the tooth. no situation what, you have to get it taken carefulness of. there's a guy i work with who's brother died a few years ago from an infection that started from an infected tooth and the infection got into his bloodstream and he died. tooth infections can be serious.

you might know how to get a discounted rate or dental work for free if you have a local university near a dental school. the students with supervision from dentists/teachers will be doing the work and essentially practicing on you.
See if there are any dental school in your area that will see you. They commonly see patients at a lower cost. Also you could see if any dentist is willing to work with you on payments and or cost. Good luck!
obtain some financial help and go to a dental arts school such as Baylor for treatment. it will cost much less.

i just have the same thing and finished my antibiotics. my dentist say if not treated, such an infection can go to your brain and take out you! you must take the entire of antibiotics! Source(s): live near Dallas Baylor dental conservatory
You should carry that checked out. If its an abscess, an infection could spread and cause greater damage. Go to a dentist and he/she could work out a gift plan.
Just one call round to the dentist is what you're going to need. He will charge you bout 100.00 dollars and he will prescribe you an antibiotic and that should take charge of the infection and the pain will go away...
Try to carry at least the anitbiotic filled. The agony will go away when the infection goes away. Make sure the er doc give the pharmacy permission to substitute a generic form of the antibiotic and also the pain med...should one and only be $4 dollars a piece. Don't put heat on your face where on earth the pain is...that will only draw more of the infection into the soft tissue. Try rinsing your mouth next to warm saltwater that might help for a short time while. Oil of cloves dropped or massaged into the tooth and gum might also give you a bit relief. Good luck...i had same problem final february and i know how painful it is.
