Mom told me I can catch a dental plan for $20/month. Seriously? Where can I find a $20/month dental insurance?
I don't think she knows what she's chitchat about. I thought the lowest was resembling $200/month.
I'm from Kansas, so states may have something to do with what dental insurance is available.
So, how would I be eligible for the cheapest dental insurance?
The good thing going on for dental insurance is that you can get it quite cheep. My dental is almost 20.00 a month and is very practical. I just have a tooth extracted for about $15.00 out of pocket. Of course the actual procedure was just about $150.00. My (and most dental plans) cover you 100% for routine visits (exam, x-rays,) 90% for most routine dental work such as fillings and extractions, and roughly speaking 80-85% for more expensive procedures such as dentures and bridges. You can almost always get this coverage from your employer and own the monthly payments removed automatically from your paycheck.
Also, if you don't work or coverage is not offered by your employer, just try using a search engine. I goggled "Kansas Dental Insurance" and get at least 3 or 4 good sites. Just get sure you read the fine print such as having to see a dentist who is on your plan, not the one you grew up seeing down the street.
