Questions in the order of Supplemental Dental Insurance?

I'm hoping someone out there can help me. I hold dental insurance through my employer, however I have a lot of dental problems I have need of to get fixed. I'm interested in purchasing extra dental insurance but don't know where to go very soon. I've researched on the internet and heard about Dental Discount Plans, but I don't meditate these will work b/c I already have primary coverage. Does anyone have any optional information on this topic that would help? I'm looking for assistance on the expenses that my primary insurance does not cover. Thanks!
