Dental plan and insurance?
Is it okay to have both? Will a dentist accept both? For example, can I use a dental plan for teeth cleaning and filling; then, can i use my insurance for extractions?

If your company is paying for your insurance and it does not cost you anything you could look for a better plan for yourself. If your paying for two plans it would be expensive and your might want to drop one plan and get another. If your insurance comes next to dental discount cards you might want to purchase insurance. Look at the contract that came with the plan to see what it pays. Dentist bring back contracted with some carriers and if your dentist is not contracted you will discharge out of network cost. Call your dentist and see if they are contracted with a delivery service. They might want to get contracted after you tell them give or take a few your plan.. Source(s): http://www.dental-stop.com
Yes. Source(s): dental hygienist
Your dental insurance plan will be very explicit in the order of what it does and does not cover. I've never seen or heard of a dental insurance plan that separates coverage as you hold outlined. All plans I have dealt next to covers both, but will as a rule limit how often you can enjoy your teeth cleaned under the plan. Most dental insurance plans have repetition time boundaries on various procedures. As an example, dentures under most plans can be replaced beneath the terms of the insurance every five to seven years, depending on the individual company. In any event, your dentist will no doubt own an office girl who specializes in handling dental insurance and she can enlighten you exactly what your plan does and does not provide.
