Dental insurance is lots times not worth what you pay for it. Mainly for single people, it is not worth it. It may be worth it for a inherited though. Compare the monthly premium totals for 1 year versus the total the plan will pay out maximum in 1 year. Many times for single race this total is very close to the max, and since the plan will not pay 100% you are probably better bad saving that money. Dental insurance companies have not raise maximums in over 20+ years while the monthly premiums verbs to go up and the cost of dentistry has increased 5 fold. Source(s): dental hygienist
Most dental insurance programs, you will pay in more than you will catch out. Take a look at x-rays and cleanings VS. paying insurance. 9 times out of 10 it costs more. Also, if you get in a vehicle misfortune, and mess up your teeth, your car insurance pays it. Just make sure it is worth it.
