Look for another Oral Surgeon that does take your insurance or look for a General Dentist that take out wisdom teeth also. Call your insurance and ask them what other Oral Surgeons are in-network and if they are out of network will the ins. cover a portion of costs. If you are not paranoid give or take a few the dentist and do not require conscious sedation and your wisdom tooth is coming out vertically...then a General Dentist may know how to take it out for you.
See if they will accept assignment of benefits from you (so the payment go directly to them). Call your insurance company and find out approximately how much they will cover, and you pay the difference up front. (You'll need to procure the procedure codes from the office). Once the payment is received from the insurance company, if you still owe a balance you will be billed for it.

Orrrrrrrrrr converse to others that have used one of the surgeons that do participate contained by your plan, but remember that just because they participate, it doesn't mingy you will not have any out-of-pocket expenses.

Good luck! Source(s): RDA, CDA, CDPMA
Look for another surgeon that participated in your Dental Insurance. Or draw from a new job that offer a dental insurance program that your desired surgeon participated in?
