You will entail to call around to find coverage. However, be prepared that you will not get backbone what you put into the policy!! A policy will only cover about $1,000 of the total costs. The average cost of braces is give or take a few $4,000.
For the priviledge of that $1,000, you will likely not get a policy for below $100. If you do, they will DEFINITELY raise your rates the next year to compensate what they reimburse out.
Insurance companies are in business to make money; they aren't necessarily interested surrounded by covering medical expenses!!
Have you tried a dental school? Most will take insurance plans, and the cost for braces will be something like 1/2 of what is charged in private practice. My kids braces will be between $1,800 - $2,100. At that price, insurance can be optional.
If you still want to look into dental insurance, I provide links to carrier here: http://www.health-insurance-low-cost.net… Source(s): http://www.health-insurance-low-cost.net - my site
