How can I afford dental services in need insurance?

My husband's company doesn't offer insurance benefits, and I am self employed/ stay at home mom. We don't have any reserves for things like this, and the pain is getting worse for me. I know a dental call in can cost upwards of $200 with x-rays and the needed fillings. I call a low-cost clinic and they said they will only treat me with severe torment, and they still require money up front.

Does anyone have any advice?
Answers:
A county hospital next to a dental department will charge you on a scale depending on your income.

Or try a local dental college; the students do the exams, etc., with fully licensed dentists observe. You can save a ton by doing that.
go to a county hosital, if within is a cost they will bill you
Many dental practices submit financing. Some even offer no interest options. You can find both contained by house financing (the office is doing the work and you make payments to them), and office that use outside companies to sponser the loan.

I have seen tons dental practices offer free exam and xrays for new patients, this may be an choice in your area as okay.

Don't be too overwhelmed when they give you a treatment plan, take it step by step, you don't own to get everything done at once. Do your treatment as you can afford it, doing what you can is far better then doing zilch.

Also, don't be afraid to call around, differant practices may have incredibly differant fees! (Most importantly find someone you feel comfortable with! You can bring your xrays to a bright office if you would like a second assessment, many will do a second opinion consultation for free.)

Good luck! Source(s): Worked within a dental office for 5 years.

Another alternative that you can use, is a PAO for your dental needs. I have a dental plan that is to say very affordable for my family. They own been around for 15 years and are the #1 Provider Access Organization in the U.S. It is with the sole purpose $19.95 for an entire household. There is no deductible or co-pay. Cosmetic procedures are covered. All specialists and braces. There are no caps or limits utilizing the benefits. The providers inside the network are of high aspect and value. Do your research at http://Stacie.OneSimpleCard.com and go to http://www.MyBenefitsPlus.com/40496082 . I hope this is conscientious for you and your family.
