If a dental department already started doing some work on your teeth (w/insurance).......?
But then you decide that you don't want to stir there anymore, will your insurance still cover if you go somewhere else, or do you enjoy to finish what they started at the dental office that you first went to??

I go thru the same situation that you are going thru, I choose a Dentist that worked with my Insurance co. but I be extremely dissatisfied with them and I went beside another Dentist that I have to pay out of my own pocket and I enjoy to fill out the paperwork and bill the Insurance co. myself. Check your policy out and see if you can change Dentist and check next to the ''new'' Dentist to see if they work with your Insurance co. Source(s): Been there, Done that.
It depends. If the dentist you are seeing now have billed the insurance company for the complete treatment then you would need to win a type of override. Usually the dentist gets paid contained by installments which they bill to the insurance so you would be able to see another dentist without problem. Your best bet is to contact your insurance company and ask them. It will run an hour at least so make sure you enjoy a lot of free time
It will still cover the work. It probably won't pay for another Dr. exam until 6 months to 1 year. You might have to wages for that or it may be covered. You will need to get your x-rays transferred to your foreign dentist or copies of them sent. And yes, you do have the right to your x-rays and copies of treatments needed and treatments done/copy of records. You can other have a pretreatment filed after they examine you and integer out what needs to be fixed. They send info to your insurance almost what needs you still have and the insurance will distribute you a letter in in the region of 3-4 weeks saying how much they will pay and what your cost will be. Make sure you get your x-rays and archives sent to the new dentist, b/c most likely, your plan will not cover a second set of x-rays. And they are not cheap.
