Lost work. health/dental insurance?
I recently lost my job, and I have health insurance through my company. How long will my coverage last? And does anyone suggest any virtuous health insurance companies/plans. Thanks!

If you are eligible for COBRA (see below) you have 30 days to sign up, so don't delay making a verdict. Your employer should tell you exactly what it will cost you to continue your vigour insurance, if you are eligible. The site below says that the COBRA insurance will cost you less than finding your own, but that be NOT true in my case. My company's COBRA be about $800 per month and I found a high-deductible HMO for about $200! Source(s): http://www.dol.gov/ebsa/faqs/faq_consume…

You are usually covered for 30 days. They should also provide you next to a certificate of coverage. This will help you to carry insurance on your own without a waiting period if nearby are existing medical conditions. You can search the internet for brokers who can find coverage at any number of companies. The cost may be prohibitive for you at the present time.
I am currently in matching situation and had to settle on a discount plan. The one I have is Cinergy. They don't income 100% of the cost, but it is the best option I have found and the cost is outstandingly reasonable. I am paying about $388 a month for my wife and I (ages 60 & 59) other option I found had monthly payment anywhere up to around $2,000 a month.
Good luck.

It is affordable and has good coverage for dental issues.
Your coverage may with the sole purpose last until the last light of day of your employment, or sometimes until the last day of the month. Ask your HR regulator.
For a new policy call a local agent. The policies available depend on where on earth you live. An experienced agent can narrow down your options to one that best fits your wishes in just a few minutes. Avoid the online shopping, here is just simply too much information, and too many scam to watch out for. Also, be open minded just about an HSA type of policy. You lost health insurance subsequent month, the insurance will send you a letter indicating how much you wages to continue it.
Most people can Not afford it, if you are qualified for low income, elected representatives medicaid, do it now.
Or Choose some very big deductible insurance such as $5000, or only 2 time free clinics a year( No inpatient) for $100 per month.
Average American pay form insurance $14000/year, more than food and rent, it is number 1 reason for people to be poor and bankrupcy.
