Health and dental insurance give somebody the third degree?
can I receive money from my employer for not taking insurance if my spouse is a state employee and I am on the state's benefits? This is in the state of Minnesota and I don't want to pinch money that I am not supposed to be taking. Any help would be great, thanks surrounded by advance.

It's usually up to your employer. Some will give you money for opt out of the plan (since it's saving them money)
It beyond doubt is legal and a great benefit. The money they pay you to not be on their insurance is freshly a fraction of the money they are actually saving. They know you probably enjoy coverage somewhere else. Source(s): Benefits Coordinator-4 years
My mom works for the county and they have the same benefit available to them.
Michael, Health insurance can be very tricky. Since I live contained by Oregon I'm not sure about Minnesota laws and regulations, so I recommend you nickname a nearby insurance agent. http://www.americaschoicetoday.com/Health-Insurance.html They should be able to assist you.
Its legal. They are truly trying to make up for the fact you aren't taking their benefits and getting $200-$300 a month adjectives the other employees are getting
~~Yes it's fine to collect the money to some extent than take the insurance. It is part of your wage bag, so you are entitled to this. They will have to take payroll taxes out on it, as it is an increase contained by pay.~~
Sure, if they're willing to money it. But most aren't.
