braces are expensive... i dont have insurance either but i enjoy saved up money and financing it with myself... have a word to your orthodontist they can probably help you out by giving you a payment plan... mine are costing me $6000 CDN but it vary depending on your dentist some are more expensive than others...from what i have heard expect to retribution at least $5000!
btw im 20 and i am finally getting mine on nov 3 :)
You can apply for state health insurance (welfare) if you are not within college and do not make much money. if you qualify then the state will settle for braces until you reach age 20 or 21 in some states.
If you are surrounded by college or have a good mission then all you can do is put aside your money and get braces yourself later. You can carry a lower price for braces at a local dental college but it is still 2-3,000+ dollars
health-quotes.talk4fun.web - my family have this robustness insurance. It is affordable and has good coverage for dental issues.

At 19 you probably enjoy little to no credit at this point so you can sign. If your parents have good credit (having little money does not show not having good credit), I don`t know they can cosign for you. Go to Carecredit.com and see if you can get approved for financing through them. If you cannot, most orthodontists wouldn't even touch you. Sorry, but it's true! Once you've established third party financing, in that will be several orthodontists who can work with you. Expect to need going on for $5000 in financing to walk within the door of the orthodontist. It may be less, but it always help to have more credit than needed on this one. Just my two cents. Source(s): Dentist
