My room mate doesn't hold dental insurance and is getting a cavity that really hurts and wants attention!?
We live in Iowa... He doesn't really know any options
Answers:
call the dentist n ask them for the number of dentist school-they present free cleanings n fixes--there will be about 5 students in the room watchin or helpin the doc--its 5$
Why not pop in a community or government hospital? Fixing a tooth (extraction or otherwise) doesn't really cost much.
Many cities enjoy dental care facilities for citizens who have no dental insurance.
I suggest calling the Iowa State Health Department, local dentists, local churches, the Salavation Army, Goodwill--any charitable organization, that might know how to put your roommate in contact with dental assist.
As a member of a Federally recognized Native American Indian tribe, I enjoy access to dental care via Indian health strictness. I pay nothing for medical or dental protection at an Indian hospital or clinic. I pay nothing for ocular tests or eyeglass frames. I do have to clear for the prescription lenses. Perhaps your roommate qualifies for Indian Health Care.
Should your roommate be a U.S. Military veteran, he/she may qualify for dental care through the Veteran's Administration.
Well, his parrents probably do, so own him ask them what to do.What has he got to lose? Source(s): Previous Expirience
