Anyone know of a site beside legalities for videotape home contents for insurance purposes?

I am going to be videotaping some friends' home contents for insurance purposes and want to be sure I do it correctly. Is there a website that would relay me what I should or should NOT do legally? Or any suggestions if you've done this before?
