Commercial event standard liability insurance?
I'm planning a simple fund raiser for a non-profit at a public park. Games, booths, music, and food vendors will be the even in a thoroughly small section of the park. We are applying for a permit and it say that we need commercial event general liability insurance. We really notably doubt that anything to bad could happen I tight-fisted maybe a booth could fall over onto rather kid or something but, nothing worse.
We were simply wondering what the cheapest form of this insurance we could get for a one time event. We mean cheap remember it is a fund raiser for small non-profit youth group!
Answers:
yes you can acquire it for a one time event and yes you do need it! call a local independent agent and they can back you with what you need. Source(s): Agent
It's not roughly speaking cheap, most companies won't do it.
The small, non profit doesn't matter. They've got $1,000,000 on the stripe, in case something DOES come to pass.
I've never seen a one day, special even policy cost LESS than $500 plus rates & inspection - meaning, closer to $700 when the day is done.
A local, independent agent can shop this out for you.
But you might own better luck at a local church, who might be willing to DONATE the space to your small nonprofit. Or, if you already have common liability in place, see if the current carrier will uphold it on for $100 or so, or even if it's already included in the policy form. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
