Geico insurance? Is it worthwhile, or basically a cheesy commercial?
Hey,
Wondering what people think of Geico insurance. I am contemplating using it for my home and auto and want to know of other people's experience near them.
I prefer to know from people who have made a claim of some sort, so they hold more experience than just calling up and ordering insurance and paying their bill -- I want people who have certainly had experience with this company.

I AM DEALING WITH GEICO RIGHT NOW ON A CLAIM. I HAD AN ACCIDENT NO FAULT OF MINES ON JULY 15 2007 , AS OF TODAY THEY STILL HAVENT PAID ME ONE RED PENNY FOR MY LOST WAGES. I CANT WAIT TILL THIS IS OVER SO I CAN CHANGE INSURANCE COMPANY. THEY SUCK
it's very good insurance i enjoy it...they stretch how much u save a lil' bit but i save around $60 dollars a year...
Now I chew over my friend had Geico or Safe auto, I can't remember which one it was ... but ...
I can just speak on what happen to a friend of mine ... he was contained by a car accident and he have Geico or Safe auto at the time, will you believe they paid to take consideration of his car and since the other people didn't hold insurance and my friend wasn't at fault, they didn't cover the other peoples car, but his subsequent month bill was 3 times more than what his normal monthly bill be, and he asked "what the heck, tell me why, you can't do that", they *Geico or Safe auto* said "because his car be X amount of dollars for the repairs and he only had to clear 250.00, they're going to get their money back from him one style or another" OMG I was on the phone and almost passed out when I heard them read aloud that to him ... so needless to say, he dropped their butts solid quick and went to Progressive.
I honestly can't remember if it be safe auto or geico, it was one of the two Source(s): I own progressive ....
Ann S- there is a righteous chance that the person who hit you any lost your info or purposely did not give it to the geico claims rep when reporting it. Or worse, he may have not even call Geico to report it. If they have your #, they WILL call you in 24 hrs if they had it. If you know his policy # and name you can call upon geico and they will guide you in the right direction.
It is a cheesy commercial. But that is to say the whole point.
The thing nearly insurance companies is that they will compete for your business.
Basically once you get a quote from someone you can tell another company what you get and see if they are willing to match it or assault the price,
All insurance companies will raise their rates once you become a liability.(Make a claim)

progressive is better.

one of their policy holders hit me not my car and that havent call back for 2 weeks the guy was at condemn in thank god i wasnt more seriouly injured than i was but i couldnt pace for 4 days i still havent gotten a call
