Commercial Insurance for Steel Erection Companies?
I am trying to get General Liability insurance as a Long time Steel Erection Company. I am tired of companies like Dallas National. Does anyone know of any other companies that will write my business insurance? I know steel erection is risky
Answers:
where can I attain a steel erection? and if I had one I would damn sure insure it....lol
If you construct Industrial buildings(Metal buildings) then with some experience and a righteous past history (loss ratio) then Travelors, Chubb, or Depending on your State of residence Ohio casulaty, AIG and General casulaty will look at you.
I would call upon an independent agent. Also...if you are a member of your Steel erectors union after your associate membership list would hold some names of professionals who would write you. Check them out. Source(s): agent 37 years
Well, at hand aren't a lot. Have you tried the big agencies?? Marsh, USI, etc? Or you can find a local agent that represents Travelers or Zurich - both of them have loyal construction departments. Have five years currently valued loss runs for all lines available. If your loss ratio is over 75%, you're going to be really hard to place, and Travelers & Zurich will plausible shoot you down.
Marsh has a $75,000 minimum premium, USI $50,000, Travelers & Zurich $100,000 excluding comp. But if you're that big, and that long term, it's probably not going to be an issue near you. Source(s): agent, 21+ years
