Where can I draw from coup¨¦ insurance so I can drive out of the country?

My insurance is in Southern Ireland, but I want to drive within Europe lacking being told my insurance will only cover 'x' amount of weeks/months. I've hear there's a 'farmers insurance' type policy. Does anyone know what I can do please?

Thank you all in mortgage for your replies.

I be able to use my own policy which is through AXA. It actually states on the reverse of the certificate that the insurance is valid in a scheduled number of countries. This included most of the major EU countries. It might be worth checking your cert to see if it states exactly what cover you have.It did,nt specify a spell of time in a particular country.
have you tried www.confused.com they search lots of insurance companys for you i am not sure that i hold seen anything about driving surrounded by europe but i am sure they will be a part to ask that its free on the net and confident to do i used it to search for my car insurance end month

good luck
and i hope you have a nice time within europe think of us all here while you are away xx
DEPENDS HOW OLD YOU ARE BUT I HIT THE BIG 50 THIS YEAR AND I GOT MINE FROM SAGA......I'M IN EUROPE FOR MONTHS AT A TIME.
Go through a broker as they will be capable of source various types of policy. However, are you planning to drive your own vehicle? Most EU countries have rules around how long you may keep them int he country before going through the re-registration process, EU tenet states 6 months, but some EU countries like to move the goal posts!
